About

The Country Crib was born from a deep appreciation of nature and gardening, coupled with a commitment to crafting ethical and sustainable goods. Handcrafted from a studio in rural Somerset, they design and make apparel using only natural materials, such as organic cotton canvas.

Stephen and Brett first met in 2009, and after ten years of London life they decided to escape the bustling city to the calmness of the Somerset countryside to create The Country Crib brand.

Brett, with a background in fashion, retail, and music merchandising, is the skilled maker behind the creations you see here. The journey began with the humble apron, transformed from a basic functional item into a stylish piece featuring three spacious pockets and extended ties for universal comfort, for people of all shapes and sizes. The Country Crib aprons, and now a wide range of apparel showcase a wonderful signature collection of earthy, yet rich and vibrant colours.

With a wealth of art and photography experience Stephen also accumulated 20 years of experience in IT, retail, and hospitality. He oversees sales and marketing, the website and social media including nurturing their garden account @thecountrycrib

Grow

We are very fortunate to have a vegetable garden to grow our own food throughout the year, and currently this space is being extended to include a new greenhouse. This will help us grow more vegetables throughout the cooler months too.

Organic and sustainable gardening is our obsession. We find ‘no dig’ gardening works very well - organisms can work productively and multiply as the soil is undisturbed, furthermore ‘no dig’ helps to suppress weeds and encourages germination.
