Just a quick tip to keep your kettle looking beautiful: be mindful of thermal shock! Sudden shifts from hot to cold (like putting cold water in a hot kettle) can crack the enamel. Also, as this kettle does not whistle, keep a close eye on it and lift the lid carefully to see when it's ready.

Since you are checking the boil manually, remember that the steam escaping from under the lid can be quite intense. Always use a kitchen mitt or an oven cloth when lifting the lid of a boiling kettle!
