Libeco - Belgian's Finest Woven Linen

At The Country Crib, we take pride in sourcing pieces with a story. That is why we are delighted to introduce Libeco - Belgian’s finest woven linen maker with over 150 years of heritage.

A Legacy of Craftsmanship

Based in Meulebeke, Belgium, Libeco is currently managed by the fifth generation of the Libeert family. Every yard of fabric is woven on-site, inspected by eye, and mended by hand where necessary. This meticulous attention to detail ensures that every piece carrying the Belgian Linen™ label is of unparalleled quality.

From Flax to Fabric

The journey of a Libeco product begins in the field. The flax plant is a marvel of nature, growing over a metre high in just 100 days. Once harvested, the fibers are spun into yarn and woven into the breathable, durable linen we love. Truly a "zero-waste" crop, every part of the flax plant is utilised, ensuring nothing goes to waste.

Committed to the Future

Libeco doesn't just craft beautiful textiles, they have been certified a carbon-neutral company since 2014 and are pioneers of 100% organic linen collections.
