Celebrating Our First Six Months!
It's hard to believe it's been six months since we first opened the doors of The Country Crib. What an amazing start it's been!
Our first few months have been truly special. We were absolutely thrilled to receive the Best New Business award for Sherborne – a wonderful recognition that means the world to us.
A huge thank you also to the fantastic team at The Sherborne Times for featuring us in their February edition, helping us connect with so many of you. We're also keeping our fingers crossed as we've reached the regional finals of the Muddy Stilettos Awards 2025 for 'Best Lifestyle Store' across Dorset, Somerset, and Bristol, with the results announced on the 30th! Looking ahead, we're so excited to share that The Country Crib will be featured in some national press over the coming months – keep an eye on your inbox for more updates on that!
Alongside all of this, our hands have been busy creating more of our handcrafted apparel and accessories, from signature aprons to beautiful cushions, with bespoke commissions coming in from businesses across the UK. Check out our 100% organic products here
We've also loved collaborations with some truly inspiring individuals and businesses, including the wonderful teams at Plankbridge Huts, Blackshed Flowers, C.Atherley, Botanical Tales, and Bergs Pottery, as well as our many favourite suppliers who share our deep commitment to sustainability and ethical practices.
A particular highlight was celebrating the launch of floral artist Bex Partridge's stunning new book, 'Crafting With Flowers', with a special collaboration in our Sherborne shop. Bex's breathtaking flower cloud installation, inspired by her book, transformed our space into a floral dream.
Our team has also grown! We were delighted to welcome Amy, initially on a temporary basis in November, who is now an invaluable part of The Country Crib family, working with us three days a week. She's been such a fantastic addition and a wonderful friend.
We're also incredibly proud to have brought a curated selection of natural, plant-based, and award-winning products to Sherborne, including the exquisite skincare and candles from Wilder Botanics, who recently scooped up three Beauty Shortlist Awards for their beautiful oils.
And for all the flower lovers out there, we've launched Flower Fridays! Every Friday, our shop is filled with gorgeous bouquets featuring freshly picked and seasonal stems – the perfect way to brighten your weekend.
Our revamped website now showcases over 500 products from more than 30 brands, all championing craftsmanship and natural, sustainable practices, with a focus on items made right here in the UK whenever possible. These past six months have been an incredible journey, made even better by meeting all of you, our wonderful new customers, and hearing your fantastic feedback. We also couldn't have achieved any of this without the incredible support of our amazing customers, especially our regulars who keep coming back!
The future of The Country Crib is shining brightly, and we are so excited about what lies ahead for our little independent business. Thank you for being a part of our story!
